I’m just about done writing what I feel is a really good metal tune.. not extreme screamo or nothing like that.. somewhere between Iron Maiden and Dream Theatre just to throw something out as a point of reference.
I think I’ve got something here that is interesting enough to be worth going after.
but.. I’m a rookie. I’m struggling with guitar and bass tones and getting things to play nice together etc.
what I’m needing is someone to work with to help maybe more on the producing side to start with but also with a mix.
Anyway if anyone is interested in hearing something and potentially working with me post up or message me.
thx, B

Metal is/was my first love when it comes to music. I’ve worked on quite a few heavy projects and been in a few heavy bands myself. I’d be happy to help or lend some advice. Shoot me a link or send me a PM and let me know what you’re looking for as far as production help.

Send a link via pm. What era of Maiden? Maiden usually has the great mixes even on the thinner early Bruce stuff and the dirtier Paul Dianno records. Now they tend to aim for a loud but very warm sound where they keep a little mud but retain clarity.
Dream Theater fully embraces modern production from what I've heard on recent records. Their older stuff sounds totally different.

I’m setup to work with Tommy at Ghostnote. I’m pretty excited and in the process of finishing up the song. I’ve been logging in like 4 hours a day on it and it is really coming together!

Hi, I'm just getting started. It's quite interesting but also a little difficult for me but I use software scan-score.com/en/ which scans digital or printed sheet music and allows me to make the changes there. I can also work with this material in few other music programs.

Well I used to do live mix for a LOT of metal bands, but it's been a long time.... Think of 3 major "New Wave of West Coat Heavy Metal" bands that start with the letter "M" and I've probably worked with them. Ages ago....
