What’s up with all the fake postings of Neumann microphones these days? Almost every day there’s a U87 for $600 Buy it Now.
While we’re on the subject…INSANE prices abound as well. $34k for a U47? $11k for KM84s.
Makes me want to never buy on eBay at all.

Makes me want to sell my U47 Ser# 3x (could be the lowest number in existence) and buy another Hot Rod. I'd probably enjoy it more, but with 7 cars already, Neh

Dan everytime you see one just report it. That is the only way to stop this. I beleive it is a handfull of people doing it because even a little success for them is free money. Always pay through PayPal and when you file a complaint stick with it no matter what incentives they use to get you to drop it.
A supposed Japanese seller tried to scam me on an AKG C12a. I only got my money back because of filing a complaint with PayPal. I assume he wanted to go scam other people so he returned my money.
Once you have contacted a seller always ask for personal info and additional specific pics with them and the mic. Look for discontinuities between pics or similar pics in other ads. Sometimes they are at least smart enough to re-crop photos.

It might but if it shows it’s a Newman!
