I track myself almost exclusively. Guitars, cello, piano, vocals, and I'm tired of running around from whatever instrument I'm playing to my desk and having to deal with a long headphone cable. I would prefer to use my ATH-M50s, but I'm willing to consider alternatives if it's a dedicated turn-key solution. I'm looking for negligible latency but almost all of the wireless headphones out there are bluetooth and unless something has changed with Bluetooth, I'm pretty sure they will have too much latency. Most of the receiver systems out there are designed for microphones and guitars.
I'm not sure if the Rode GO II or the Saramonic Blink 500 systems are feasible, but I like the idea of a small receiver that clips onto the headphones. Is anyone familiar with these? They are marketed to videographers, so I'm skeptical. Is the Saramonic headphone output only for monitoring?? Mono could be acceptable.. or even preferable because I'm a mostly one-ear tracker anyway. Come to think of it, I don't even need super-high fidelity - I don't necessarily have to draw inspiration from the mix - Hearing the instrument I'm playing in its space is more important to me, which is probably why I'm a half-headphone tracker.
I'm not looking for a multi-channel system, so it seems reasonable to me that there should be something out there in the under $500 range that should do the trick, but I'm willing to spend more if that's what it takes.

Oooh, this venture sounds particularly interesting to me. Keeping my eyes peeled in case there are some good options. Without looking at specs, my first guess is that things like the Rode Wireless GO or similar "camera-mounted" receivers may not have the juice to properly drive the M50's, but take that for a single grain of salt (purely speculation). In fact, compared to most of the consumer-grade transmitters that guerilla filmmakers use to transmit audio from the boom op's pack to the camera (basically when timecode isn't available, and editor doesn't want to sync camera audio to anything), the Wireless GO is quite sufficient... not that this would necessarily prove beneficial to headphone functionality.
I'm not looking for a multi-channel system, so it seems reasonable to me that there should be something out there in the under $500 range that should do the trick, but I'm willing to spend more if that's what it takes. I feel like used Sennheiser Evolution IEMs might be the perfect option here. At one point, a certain big-box MI store would buy all wireless in for cheap, so you could see these going for sub 300, even 200 for a pack... and often because someone buys them without realizing the requirements needed to get that system up and running. The receiver packs are, or used to be, made of plastic and fairly light -- the clip was one of those standard "wire" belt clips, but it -might- be possible to affix it to the band of the M50s...
If you really ROCK out, they might go flying, but I think that may be similar to even the Saramonic/Rode receivers.
-- I'm hoping that someone has a better sounding and affordable solution for you though. I would love getting something like this as well.

M57 did you ever follow through with this? Where did you land? Anyone else?
