bring out your quality recordings. or rather contemporary work you think is outstanding.
I've got 3 that continue to make me smile
the Geraldine fibbers - lost somewhere between the earth and home. I love this album. its got every instrument known to man trakced on it and they all sound excellent. the drums and guitar tones are outstanding.
sonic youth - rather ripped not sure if it's just the quality of the tracking, the arrangments or the musicians. yes it's all.
jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine - the audacity of hype. must check out their latest album.

As I think I may have mentioned before:
Dwight Sings Buck (choice cut: Together Again)
Tom Jones - Spirit in the Room (choice cut: All Blues Hail Mary)
After spending a lifetime listening to dense mixes, I am gravitating to sparse, open production work.

agreed completely john. kind of blue is I think the best recorded album on the planet. I listen to it at least 2-3 times a week. I went all audiophile on that one and got the gld disc addition.

I concur with the John Mayer album. Paper Airplanes is also stunning and So Long So Wrong.
