I'm working on a medium tempo pop rock song and wanted a " Clearmountain " verb. R2's Chambers are killing in this application. I'm using Med Tight Chamb Dark. The verb is an important element in the production, almost an instrument, and R2 is sounding fantastic.
Going to work up some presets but the existing Chamber presets are truly fantastic.
I'll post the mix when it's done so you guys can tell me if I've gone verb crazy...;-)

Alright, after listening to the small and medium chambers i settled on a customized version of Medium Gated Chamber. Tuned it to the track in about two minutes and now it's sounding awesome. Funny thing about the small chambers in R2. They sound huge while being short. Very deceptive. Also using variants of the preset for Vox, Guits, and Keys. Man it's great to be able to have 3,4 or 5 instances of the same verb and then shade each instance for depth and width. R2 kills in this regard. It's dead easy to narrow or widen the verb and the filters are great for subtle depth. The preset is attached. If anyone tries it let me know if it was useful for you.;-) |

Absolutely loving it! Both R2 and Phoenix. Impeccable sound but the thing that gets me is how easy it is to tweak and to really get the verbs to sit well.
I did a vocal on this largish verby production, while I was waiting for the singer, that I'll post soon. Out of my comfy range but it might work with a male voice as well.
Point is, this is the wettest production for me in along time and R2 is making it easy...I hope!LOL
