I picked up a pair of these a few months ago. Just incredible little eq's. They never sound like I'm using eq! Love the eq point choices and the stepped controls. Anyone else here every try them out? Totally worth it in my opinion. The germanium transistors really add a beautiful overall tone to the unit as well.

I'd love to try out some of their other stuff. It all seems cool. These are definitely standouts in my opinion. I used to have a pretty pricey custom BAX eq, and this does a similar thing at a much much better price. I actually like these better.

The prices seamed pretty reasonable for the used stuff on the GC site , infact as I was browsing I dismissed them because the prices were almost in that Cheap Chinese POS range.

I've heard several reports of dodgy component quality and dodgy QA all around. No personal experience whatsoever, though. And always tough to know if what one reads on GS is remotely true.

I once owned a pair of the preamps that could take "colour" modules. MP568C I think. They were kinda cool and I had no problems with them. Just ended up not being what I wanted/needed at the time. I think I had the "Brit" (Neve) the the "GT" (germanium) console modules installed in them. Sounded pretty good though. I remember shipping was a bit of a mystery and took a couple weeks where there was just no tracking and then one day they just showed up.

I got them used. They’re mostly made of plastic, so they don’t feel incredible, but they sound great and that’s what counts. Everything internally looks really good. Not sure what their “active transformer” thing is, but again, they sound great so…
