Looks like playtime is over for a lot of the high dollar stuff.
M149's at $7500, the Great River MP2NV's are both at $5000.

Somehow with you, Dale, I get the feeling this is actually going to happen.

That AnalogR kid over pays for Neve stuff all of the time on Reverb and drives up prices with crazy prices. And he's not a tech who is refurbishing gear.

Interesting thread. I bought my Drawmer 1960 off (I'm just gonna deleted the famous name) back years ago . . . and yes, I know what he used it on, and spoke with him on the phone for a while. Amazing warm friendly respectful and respectable person who treated me like an equal and sold it at a fair price. I don't get the hero gear worship stuff. I just don't get that. Regardless of how lucky we are (or aren't) in our field, we're all peers. The problem is that it's (hungry, greedy) HEIRS doing the selling, not the original engineers.

I dont think this site is a traditional auction site. You make a bid/offer and the its declined not because someone has outbidded you but the analogr site has deemed the offer not acceptable. Is this a bit of a fishing expedition on trying to get best price?
***Update from Analogr*** Maybe I was the only one that did not truly understand how the bidding process works. So I got a reply from Analogr and maybe this makes more sense about the running of there site and how it works for other people like me who were confused.
“We don’t do timed auctions. The market makes the offer to the owner who will approve or decline each offer. It’s their decision."

Why not sell it for more than new?
