relab lx480 is on sale.. anyone used this reverb. Yeah, it sounds very much like a real 480 (at least to my ears in online comparisons). I used it a lot before I got the exponential reverbs.

Fuse VSC-1 looks cool. SSL Rat Dratwa edition. Looks like a mix of Scheps Omnichannel and SSL Channelstrip 2. My most used channel strip is the PSP one but this could be good

Anyone happen to keep their pulse on Avid with Black Friday or holiday pricing? Reluctantly considering the perpetual license. (Also, Tokyo Dawn -- with as long as I've used the non-GE versions, I should probably just shell out the cash for the full plugs)
Or maybe I should jump ship to Studio One at this point...

Getting the TDR "GE" bundle was one of the smartest things I ever did. Highly recommended!

Outrageous. I wish I could. Maybe I'll find a way.

Or maybe I should jump ship to Studio One at this point... I’d wait a few weeks/months and see what Fender’s plan is with Studio One just to be safe.

You mean, you don't want the new built-in TWIN REVERB CHANNEL STRIP, where every channel in Studio One has Blackface Reissue Twin Reverb IR's on by default?
Jokes aside, good point.

Haha - I mean, it's always possible they'll include more stuff, like Amplitube Fender or something. It might not be a bad takeover...

What’s the consensus on the Black Rooster stuff? Worth $84 for the entire bundle? Anything special or unique in there?

ML is having a half off sale. I really love their trial "5034" amp sim so I bought the full version as well as their jcm800 and SVT sims.

What’s the consensus on the Black Rooster stuff? Worth $84 for the entire bundle? Anything special or unique in there? I would say it's a steal. I really enjoy VPRE-73 (neve preamp), VLA-3A (LA-3A compressor) those are the two I've used the most. I reach for other Pultecs, but the ones they make are also good. Don't really care for the Ashly compressors. There's many I haven't tried but the level of quality seems to be high across the board.

Agreed it’s a steal, but how much mileage you get out of it probably depends on what you already own. I’m still sorting my way through them all, but have really liked what I’ve tried so far. The VPRE-73 is awesome especially for Ray/Fuse completists…Similarly, haven’t tried the opto comps but I like the Fuse VCL-4. The KH EQ has some interesting saturation dials per band which was useful on a squeaky clean synth part his morning. Going to dive into the plate and spring next.

I like the sound of Black Rooster Audio's VPRE-73 a lot, but in my experience it does break up more quickly than many other preamp plug-ins, so it pays to be a little careful with input levels.

Nembrini plugins is having a half off+ sale. I got the DC30 vox ac30 plugin. It sounds really good. I was just about to ask this exact question in the guitar section. ie. if anyone is using it and happy with it. it's on my list of try and buy. where does it sit in the ac30 plugin landscape. the demos sound excellent.

I like it better than amplitube's version but I haven't compared it to others. It's more "finished" and the vox honk didn't overpower like some sims, but it's somewhat on the darker side and you'll need to turn up the treble and turn down the cut a little more than you're used to if you've used the real thing. I like the cabinet adjustments. The presets have a little too much "cabinet" and I had to back off the distance and position settings. I got a really lifelike sounding setup with a few minutes of tweaking.

I demo'd the DC30 and thought it was far too bassy. Had to turn the bass knob almost all the way down. I use the AC30s (there's three of them) in Amplitube 5 all the time, those are my go-to's I guess.

How's the CPU load compare between the two (if it's even noticeable for a newer system, lol)? I'm fine with AT5, but I wouldn't mind having something a little lighter just for quick tracking before I start committing tracks down.
