Tony, that sounded great. The raw tracks are the way to hear the mics, but I couldn't help myself. As I listened to the soundcloud playback, I put a MH Channelstrip and some Haloverb on the MH ULN-8 I listen through here. Then I uploaded it. Hope you like it, or otherwise forgive me.. Way cool done ! Hmm.. Halo verb sounds real good.. OT, I know, but the Metric Halo stuff is really good. And the DSP is in the interface, I just put it across the monitor bus from soundcloud and recorded it in the MH console, like a second DAW. Tony's mics sound totally pro. |

the c12 build is very well documented and matador is releasing a universal power supply for different tubes as of course the 6702 tubes are harder and harder to get and tim is taking orders now on group diy thread for his cap; considered to be one of if not the best c12 replica
I expect their u47 diy build to be equivalent
two world class completely authentic replicas for around $2,500 plus sweat equity; well worth it plus the pride of build !

dude sounds great, taking the time to pick out your parts and go the extra mile makes the difference. that is a hell of a DIY.
