I am not a Stam basher as I do think the gear: great, but the delivery delays are what they are. I hope they continue to make progress, bringing those down and/or selling from stock.

Spent a little more time with it. It really is just lovely sounding. A couple dB off strummed acoustic guitar with the 3A, 5-7dB with either of the 2A models on bass, just luscious. And for my own voice, I'm really smitten with the Rev A on the ADG into the 4A. Pins it in a beautiful way I haven't gotten before.

Replaced my LA-2A's with Stam 2A's because I love the sound of them (also I made a mint on the 2A's), they are pretty close if not imperceptible compared to the real thing IMO. I also picked up the 6176 for bass DI / connect the Stam into the 1176 for that classic combo.. Just can't go wrong really.. Glad you're enjoying it chief, can't wait to hear some clips.

It’s the waiting…it’s the hardest part I'm curious if it would be advantageous to go the AudioScape route for orders and purchasing? Rare pre-orders, mostly set up your product when its ready to go. I sure as hell have no weight to suggest things though, as Stam's work receives so much praise; I wouldn't want a process change to impact the end results.

I've squeaked out some studio time lately and been using the SA-23A+ on lots of things. It's really nice. Quite an awesome array of opto vibes in one box.

How long did it take from order to delivery? 3 years…😅 You’re kidding right? Surely not 3 years!! What possible reason could it take 3 years? I do find that ever so slightly off putting!

Great to hear its good. The Stam stuff I have had or have still is great.
My issue around the wait is the unpredictability. I am concerned I would not have the $$$ when the time to pay in full came.
Paying in full up front and waiting an indetermined amount of time is also not an option.
After waiting for my SA-4000 2 years and 1.5 for the SA-47 I decided to go retail only … as it looked like that was finally where it was going just before C-19 hit. It never really happened though.
With such a great reputation for great gear I am sure everything he makes will sell and fast so why he does not change up the delivery model is a mystery to me.

My SA23+ came a week or two ago. Long wait…. But it sounds awesome and build looks great. Indeed the wait is the hardest part. No doubt that the sound and price are outstanding. This unit will see a lot of use

While the wait is hard no doubt, I'm happy to say my SA23+ shipped on Tuesday and according to Fedex tracking arrives tomorrow!

Hello Everyone,
Firstly I wanted to thank you all for praising the SA23A, it was an enormous engineering challenge and we are very happy with your feedback.
We understand that waiting is not fun for anyone therefore have decided to change to a in stock model only, this took a heavy investment from our end but it was the right way moving forward. We are aiming at a turnaround time of 5 working days from purchasing to it's destination anywhere in the world.
While there are still a few items you can reserve most of them have been either removed of the website, in stock or placed as sold out and they will be placed in stock once they arrive.
We have many surprises coming soon as well
Thanks everyone Josh

My interest in LA4 hardware has been piqued by the Fuse VCL-4 plug in.

Is that project still happening?

I had the same thing happen (got really curious about 4A compression in general because of the VCL-4) while waiting for the SA-23A+. Since getting the Stam, I don't use the 4A that much. Not because it's not cool, but just because I really like the 2A and 3A. The 4A in the Stam is very colored, kind of mid forward, gets into obvious distortion sooner than the others. I like it a lot on vocals and drums. It's been awhile since I tried the Fuse plug, but my memory of it is in the ballpark of what the Stam 4A does.

Nice, easy, quick and comes with a 3 year warranty. What more do you want? Even with the disti markup I still think your stuff is damn cheap for the sound quality and I don't mind paying a bit more not to play the waiting game. If they'd have had some SA23's I'd have picked a couple of them up too. Keep following the path chief and well done..
