Hey gear heads,
So I snagged a super cheap TT patchbay from Neutrik on ebay for 10 Euros. It used to cost quite a lot and the build quality still feels great albeit being from the 90s. Only problem is that it does not come with DB25 connectors. Since I'm handy with the soldering iron ( done quite a few diy preamps and EQs) I thought I could try and add those connectors myself in order for it to interface with my outboard/mixer/adda converter. I tried a behringer and neutrik patchbay with normal jacks but they had awful build quality, weird connection issues and patching was far from smooth since I had to jank out patch cables with alot of force. These TT cables are alot better and very fun to use.
Now about the task: I'm curious if it would be as easy as soldering one multicore 8x cable to the soldering points on the Patchbay rear and fitting the other end with a tascam DB25 connector. There seem to be multiple grounding points on the Patchbay- does it matter which grounding point I use? Am I missing anything?
I will upload pictures tomorrow.
Thanks guys.

The db25 channel clusters should be soldered to the TT sockets and nothing else.

Not sure what you're asking. Each DB25 cluster has a Hot(+), a Cold(-) and a Ground/shield. They should be soldered to their respective T(+), R(-) and S(shield/ground) points on the TT socket.

I was confused which one to use but it seems to be any- nevermind then.

A common ground between channels can induce ground loops and crosstalk.

As you had mentioned in your first post, pictures would help a lot here.

If I remember these bays correctly they have the option of individual modules, group and 2 different options for all modules tied.
