Dead at 85…I’ve been listening to “Back in the Controls” non stop for a few months now. What a great run. I’ve always been so impressed with what that era of producers and musicians created in Jamaica.

He was one of the greatest Jamaican music producers. He basically invented Dub music and pioneered the use of reverbs, and delays as creative fx rather than just using them as ambience.

How sad, i've been a huge fan since discovering some lp's in my brother's room in the early 80's.
Listening to 'Dub Revolution', as i type.

That's very sad news. I'm not a big reggae/ dub fan but I've always admired his style of mixing. Lots of fun.
