Vintageking has a thing 7-9 tonight. Registration is on their Facebook page.
Looking to hit some joint called rusty nail after that tonight if anyone is down.
Probably hitting somewhere here for breakfast tomorrow morning too. Possibly Arnold's or Ruby Sunshine. Did the pancake place this morning.

Broadway is a place nightmares are made of. It's more Coyote Ugly than Ybor City these days, right?

Did anyone see anything cool/new/noteworthy? Whitestone has a new black version of their u it, which has some more hair. Locomotive has what sounds to be the dopest eq ever coming down the line. IAA has some rad stuff, worth checking out. H9 and v2 for sure. Audioscape has that verb swinging though, which I NEED. The SAS acoustics speakers were actually pretty banging.

Survived the trip and got into a few rad spots that aren't tourist central. Definitely had a time. Back to reality now.

Downtown has turned into the Vegas strip. You weren't joking huh? Bananaland. I'm way too old for that. When we showed up on Thursday, we grabbed a bite and listened to an acoustic duo at Rippys on Broadway. Lunchtime. Small crowd, fine food. Musicians were decent. Went back to Broadway probably about midnight Friday night. That was a mistake. Popped into one bar to use the bathroom. That was enough of that. Got a cheesesteak at the end of Printers Alley after the strip. Cheesesteak shop next door to the gumbo shop. Sandwich was dynamite.

There are usually some studio open houses or product demos at them…Addiction usually has one. Carter, Gruhn, and Rumbleseat are the vintage guitar shops to check out, Nelson’s Drum Shop for vintage drums, Forks for new (and occasional used) drums, Nashville Used Music will sometimes have a good, unexpected find. Eastside Music Supply is guitar pedal central. If you like acoustic/bluegrass music The Station Inn is worth a visit. Vickie Vaughn on the 16th is a good one. On the 20th Anthony Da Costa & Maya De Vitry are at Dee’s and that’s the best music for $5 you might ever hear. Food recommendations would depend on where you are staying and how you feel about waiting in line. Try to go to Arnold’s if you can. Even if there’s a line it moves pretty quick. I think living here for so long my recommendations are based off not having to wait and good service. Margot is my favorite breakfast and honestly place in Nashville. Just a great spot to have a meal. If Big Al’s is open, his breakfast and lunch are amazing but it’s a big meal and you’ll be moving slow the rest of the day. Monells in Germantown is also a fun experience especially if you are coming with friends/family. A quick cheap eat is Cheap Charlie’s Taco Truck in East Nashville. His family also owns Taqueria Andrea which is amazing. My two favorite breweries to sit outside and have a beer are Smith & Lentz and East Nashville Beer Works. Usually not too crowded great selection and good food. I’m not your guy for hot chicken recommendations. Great recommendation on Anthony Da Costa and Maya De Vitry at Dee's. I checked out their show last night. He is an amazing guitar player. Highly recommended. They are playing again next Tuesday night at Dee's.

Shhhh... it's a secret! A little tease is that it is a tube EQ, but not another Pultec. Too many already. Not a clone either. Its going to be its own thing with some pretty fun features. The unit will be ready around Winter NAMM-time. Wish me luck!
