I’m looking for some leisurely reading. By “recording books” I mean books about how great records/bands were recorded. Something to nerd out on. What’s the best book in this regard on the Beatles? Dark Side Of The Moon? Les Paul and the evolution of tape machines? Motown? Etc etc.
Thanks

This is the definitive Beatles recording book. www.curvebender.com/rtb.htmlIt used to be the case that you could pay (it's expensive, but it's a huge, beautifully printed thing) and then wait some months for them to have enough orders and get a new copy. That may still be the case, but a quick glance on Amazon shows an eye-popping $900 price tag. That may just be because it circumvents the wait. www.amazon.com/Recording-Beatles-Equipment-Techniques-Hardcover/dp/B00Z8EG22SAt any rate, it's an amazing book that these guys created.
