And it's exactly what I've been looking for in a clean boost/lower gain OD combo. Any other users or BYOC pedal folks here?

Nice! I built a Green Pony and it’s for sure my favorite tube screamer style OD. Love BYOC.

I built 3 different Klons, I think I used some of the BYOC 'silver' schematic ideas in my go-to build. Hard to remember every detail, but it's a killer pedal. Sweet spot in a box, closest to that I've ever heard.

Sweet spot in a box, closest to that I've ever heard. Man, I'm really digging this thing. Given what I require most of the time for live gigging, this seems to have been what I was looking for all along. I need two levels of boost (sometimes both combined), but I don't really want it too hairy. I've gone from using two separate OD's to the two-in-one varieties, and I felt like the former was too noisy and 'flat' sounding; the latter just 'flat'. The Silver Pony, while not the quietest (that charge pump seems to raise the noise floor a bit), has a nice touch-sensitive response and some dimension to it. The treble circuit is well-executed and more usable than most I've encountered in this sonic sojourn!

srb It's been a while since I've gigged, last couple of times I was using a Red Llama build (love it) and then just the stock sounds in the Boss Katana amp lately. I'll have to try the Klon live, sounds pretty ideal for the task. Glad to hear you have a "magic" klon for yourself! When I first got into these pedals, it was a 2-3 week obession / deep dive. Thought I was going to find some deep rare truth, but there's so much mixed info on these out there. In the end, it was worth it. I still don't know what the "secret" is but who cares, most of the DIY clones sound incredible. Maybe even better than a real klon! (Whoops, I said it.) I use the Madbean Pedals PCBs for mine, I love almost everything he has laid out, I have a ton of his PCBs sitting here needing to be built up.

I really just want to be inspired when I play...anywhere...but especially in a venue somewhere. Might sound silly, but the SPii has done that for me...at least for now! I'll look into Madbean, sounds interesting. Thanks!
