I've seen these microphones pop up a few times on a classical recording group I follow on Facebook. They look like Schoeps knock offs. Anyone have any experience with them? b9audio.com/

I like the stereo recording ruler they make though.

I believe that capsules are interchangeable with Schoeps based on one report. Not advertised. Read between the lines…

I haven't. Look interesting. Totally a copy almost too much so of schoeps. I like the stereo recording ruler they make though. I was thinking about grabbing that ruler myself.

My ME906 is made for such a music. Compared to my favorite Lang Lang CDs or Daniel Barenboim the top end sounds a little nervous....

Even though the post is from a while back, the quest for perfect sound remains timeless, right? Those mics reminiscent of Schoeps sure pique curiosity, especially if they hint at interchangeability with capsules. But when it comes down to it, the proof's in the sound quality. Your ME906 seems tailored for classical tunes, yet you're picking up a touch of jitteriness in the high-end, especially in comparison to Lang Lang or Barenboim recordings. Have you tried experimenting with different capsules or tweaking the positioning to see if it smoothens out the edges? And speaking of microphones, exploring those used for ASMR shares some common ground—finding that ideal sound is a journey regardless of the audio world you're exploring. There might just be some crossover between what makes a great classical recording mic and one suited for ASMR.
