Highly modified Soundcraft K3 Theatre Console!
Modules were modified by Creation Audio Labs in Nashville.
Think modified Soundcraft Ghost or Delta but with much better routing, features, metering, and most importantly...sound! This thing punch's in the low end like you would not believe!
This makes for a excellent studio console regardless if you are tracking, mixing, or even mastering.
Noise, THD, frequency response, and phase have all been vastly improved with these mods!
Console features;
24 x Theatre Input Channels (RS5703)
8 x Dual Group\FX Output Modules (RS5706)
1 x Theatre Master Module
All 24 Input Channels Highly modified
All 8 Group Channels Highly modified
Highly modified Master Section
Custom Creation Audio Labs Power House PSU
Mods include;
16 channels of Jensen JT-MB-CA Mic input transformers (Channels 1 thru 16)
8 Channels of Jensen JT-11-P Line input transformers (Channels 17 thru 24)
New low noise TI OPA opamps through out including proper bypass\coupling caps
Ch 1-16 have variable HPF mod by JLM Audio
NOS low noise, high speeds matched Hitachi 2SA1084 transistors throughout
All 24 channels modified for balanced operation throughout including dedicated balanced insert send and returns, and direct outs
New Panasonic FR low ESR capacitors throughout
ELNA Silmic II capacitors in master section
Low noise 1% Dale Vishay resistors throughout
TKD plastic conductive 100mm faders throughout
New Neutrik Gold XLR and TRS jacks used throughout
New Mil-Spec silver plated loom wiring
Each channel has newly dedicated ground ties to chassis
New Custom Creation Audio Labs Power House PSU - Provides 9 amps of high power, low impedance DC for excellent bass reproduction. This thing is massive!
Rel-Cap polystyrene capacitors for High EQ section
Wima FKP and MKP polypropylene film capacitors used throughout
Master fader bypassed for better stereo separation, lower noise (have original faders if you wish to put back)
New knobs replaced throughout on all modules giving a much better aesthetic and tactile feel
Custom console protective dust cover
Every single pot, switch, connector, LED, tested and working perfectly. Board is 100% working perfectly. Not a single scratchy pot or intermittent switch. Console is in excellent cosmetic condition.
Cheesy yucky original K3 frame bumpers are now a faux wood\brown
Extensive documentation support including annotated schematics including modifications
AP plots showing before and after modification work including lower noise, lowered distortion and phase
Tons of spare parts including spare original input, group and master channels
I'm not not tracking or recording much these days and looking to simplify my setup.
Obviously with border closures, this makes it difficult for my American friends to come see. If however you are interested in getting a freight company to look at shipping options, I'm more than willing to help out.
