Sooo.. Do any of you have the following vehicles? If you do, how do you feel about it? Problems? Longevity?
10-14 Audi A3/A4 10-14 MercedesBenz C250/300/350 10-14 Subaru WRX/WRX STI 11-14 Mitsubishi EVO/EVO GSR
Possibly:
10-14 BMW 1/3 series, probably the 135 or 335

Pff....my Prius would smoke all of those.
...real life though, not any of these specific models/years, but I've driven a C Class Benz and an A6 (both probably 04's) and the Audi felt like a much more solid ride. The more expensive Benz's felt better, but I wasn't impressed by the C. Things could be different these days though.

That's good feedback actually. The benz are really only on the list because I would like to try the widest amount of cars within that class of vehicles, but you never know, I might like it.

FYI, I had a VW GTI and while it was a good car, once it started to fall apart, it was impossible to keep running without constant maintenance. The BMW M3 I have now is starting to get the same way, I'm fixing it at least once every couple months. Small stuff, but the amount of small stuff keeps getting bigger and more expensive. At this point I'd rather just get something else even though I love the car.

Not on your list, and maybe a little too "family" for you, but I really dug the Lexus IS series in the same time frame. Nice handling with some pep.

I've been surprised at how cheap the mercedes have been while the mitsubishi is most expensive for the same years..

Another one caught my eye the other day, a mazdaspeed 3. I do have friends who have mazdas and they all seem to like them a lot..
I've been reading reviews and it seems the subarus have dropped in quality the last few years. Anyone have any input?

I can't imagine it being in the ballpark of the others.

I can't imagine it being in the ballpark of the others. It's 280ftlbs of torque.. One of the strongest of the lot. The only huge drawback is that it's only FWD where the others are RWD or AWD. I don't have to have an expensive car, I just want something with some real zip to it.

I just think the regular 3 feels cheap. Even the regular 3 she has is zippy, but it doesn't feel classy. Take one for a spin, I just imagine that it won't be the one for you.

Met a person with an Audi A3. They weren't happy with the quality at all. I read horror stories about the Subaru WRX from pretty much 2008 to 2013, broken pistons, spun rod bearings, etc.
Where is the quality these days?

Not yet. A couple of the cars I wanted to look at got sold. I kinda stopped looking so much after that point. I've had too much work, both at the day job and in the studio to really put much effort into it so far. Maybe in the next couple weeks I'll be back on the hunt.

Bought a Nissan Leaf a few months ago, never had so much fun driving ever! No transmission so it never shifts, feels like driving a jet! Maybe one day a Tesla but for now I' m good!
