Love my Chambord EQ too. FYI, his site is back up and he’s making a comp now too! I'm really curious about this one. Sontec-esque is probably no slouch, and the price is very right! And very reasonable for American buyers re the Canadian dollar. For what it’s worth I really like his design aesthetic too.

The Meyer Sound CP-10 could be one to check out. Ive never tried it on vocals but its come in handy on drums either individual mics or buss, also bass. Not coloured.Havent used it in awhile but this thread has me wanting to get it out

Anyone tried the good old Speck ASC? I still think i have one of them in the cupboard paired with a Mp5.0 Always wondered what the 5.0 stood for? I quite liked his gear at the time.

I’m in search of a vocal eq besides my Rupert Neve 5033. Something with a little more vibe. Just trying to get some recommendations. I'd suggest you also check out a Miad LCPQ4040. Smooth, Vibey, Enough variability without being TOO much, 1RU. I love my API's, but for a vocal, the Miad is way better. That review makes me really want to try the Miad. Have been thinking about the Great river eqs, either the Harrison clone or the NVEQ1 for vocals, but maybe the Miad is even better!

I like the Chambord Audio CA-250. Based on a Sontec, but pared down to 4 bands. I use mine all over the place. Love my Chambord EQ too. FYI, his site is back up and he’s making a comp now too! Based on your recommendation, I just ordered. Looking forward to testing it.

Great River Harrison 500 sounds amazing. It's super flexible for anything. I love the EQ2NV, I dream about having a few racks full of their mastering MAQEQNV to create a hybrid console. The Harrison is a great EQ, it sits in an interesting sonic ground between the problem solvers (SSL, Modern Neve, Speck) and the tone monsters (API, NEVE10). not a bad first EQ.

I believe it's the Neve 551 in the Shelford (Vintage vibe stuff)? I love that EQ for tracking, *Psst I actually disable the bridge diode and just use the pre / EQ and a 2A comp. If you like the 1064 / 1073 then it's a must have IMO..
A 3-band is obviously not going to fix everything in a track but it's awesome at dialling out harsh frequencies, adding some weight and getting it "there".. Afterwards it's a just a matter of cutting out a bit of mud ITB if required.
