One thing I’ve never really loved my 67 for is acoustic guitar, even in this shootout if I had to choose I’d take the warm haha. On voice though, no comparison, those soft smooth clear mids from the Neumann were easily apparent, the warm did not have the mojo it sounded raspy and cold to me Same here. But the cserrano 87 is the TITS!! it's the only mic I've used in combo with a KM84 that actually results in something better.

I think every clip I've heard sounded good. In the direct compare to VINTAGE ones...maybe it's not QUITE as good, but I've had three of Blackbird's here at once, and sorry--those were three different mics that ranged from wonderful to sketch on the same voice in the same room on the same day. So--you know...I think they should get an award for getting CLOSE for what $800 retail? I mean there is ONLY "close" when it comes to vintage audio kit.
I'd love to have one for the vocals I'm about to cut of my own. And, to be fair, I usually think modern inexpensive LDCs sound like turd. Maybe I'm losing my hearing in my old age.

Yeah…I wouldn’t expect it to sound as good as the 67, but it sounded way closer than I expected it to.

I've been thinking of picking up this mic off and on.
Looking on the inside, I would only change a few things there :
But I imagine since its the same circuit, I would have to do my hi-z output mod I came up with a long time ago for someone to plug it into their RME mic pre without all that noise floor. Which is actually in the power supply part.
