Ok, so I'm building this new product for guitar players, and have never created a pcb or a cad drawing before. Since I've gone back to school recently for my MBA, I have access to Fusion 360..
this thing does the shell, the pcb, and makes everything fit together, and it's so simple with the tutorials, I'm truly impressed!
If you're trying to get past your first hurdles, I'd definitely recommend checking out the hobbyist version or any other, as I think I can actually build this prototype myself for the first time in years of putting it off.

I tried the trial of this a few years ago. Never really got that deep into it before the trial ended and they wanted 500$ a year to use it.. Since then I switched to a CAD software that was free from an online prototyping company.. But they recently forced an update that restricted all the exporting capabilities so i can no longer export DXF/DWG files, which I guess they found out that a lot of people were probably using the program and not buying their overpriced services. If Fusion offered a single seat perpetual license I might have bought it, but I'm not going to fall into the subscription trap.

there is a hobbyist with almost all of the options available for free though, maybe you can use that?

I found doing PCB design in it to be a bit clunky. I was hoping it would have all of Eagle just integrated into it. Didn't seem to be the case when I fiddled with it last year. Has that part improved?
