Thanks for posting! What a beautiful voice . . . even after the youtube audio mangling. Of course that makes it hard to hear everything, and the distortion in the sound also complicates things a little but WOW, her voice with a CK12 capsule is just so right.

I actually liked the U47 on her voice. It matched her register the best and brought out what her voice (probably) really sounds like which is always most interesting to me. I hate mics that "shift" a singers voice, as it always sounds "thirsty" to me, as though they are trying to sound like someone other than themself. Her voice is refreshingly deep and slow and interesting.

Cheers, Geoff

I liked the 67 best, but my ear is just kinda tuned in to that sound and I almost always prefer it.

The 67 had the smoothest, most velvet like mid-range. The 47 had the usual mid-centric presence. The C12 was airy and detailed but seemed to distort on some of the louder passages. The 251 was scooped with its 'pre eqd' lows and highs.
All in all the demo summed up the commonly identified characteristics of these mics pretty well.

The 67 didn't even come close to how clear my 67 sounds. I'm thinking preamp choice may have influenced things here, and of course, we need to bear in mind YouTube perverts and corrupts audio. The thing about the 251 'scooping' is that it scoops EXACTLY where you would notch anyhow. The 251 is widely regarded as the greatest vocal (and other) of all time. And something is coming. You probably can guess what it is.
