Couldn't get past the name. Peanut butter goes with fizzies, not with alcohol. Went to a party at Capital Records once (it was tied in with the AES show). Some booze company footed the bill. I'd never heard of their stuff before or since. It was a 'flavored spirit' which is basically all you need to know. They had tables of the stuff placed all over Studio 1, which felt like some sort of sacrilege. A flack from the company sidled up to me and offered me a generous glassful. I took the obligatory sip and then she asked me what I thought. Told her it's the first thing I'd reach for if I had a cough. |

I've definitely had peanut butter toast with my whiskey before. But I wouldn't trust the whiskey company with that blend. I prefer to be in charge of that combo myself.

In many ways this was inevitable, and the culmination of the Vodka and Rum trend towards every flavor known to man in order to corner the young girl market. I’ll admit to enjoying a glass of Banana Rum or Cooking with some Honey flavored Jim Beam (think steak marinade) but this is just wrong.

I like peanut butter and salsa sandwiches, as long as the PB is natural with just peanuts and salt.
Whether this blend works would depend a lot on the type of PB and the type of whiskey. Dunno if I'd trust that gang of kids to get it right.
I do like PB stout.

I’ve heard some of these trendy peanut butter whiskeys are actually kinda good. Haven’t tried myself though. Maybe as a shot at a bar or something someday?

Haha, I bought this cuz I like PB and I like Whiskey. What could go wrong?? So... by itself, it’s way too sweet for me. It’s really good believe it or not, with Hot chocolate. It’s also nice to add a half shot to two shots of real whiskey, neat. But yeah, I get the repulsion....

I’ve had it. It’s delicious but it’s VERY sweet....as in its a desert liqueur.....lovely in milk over ice.
But I need to keep sugar and alcohol more separated. It’s like CafeXO....that kind of stuff makes me want to drink any day any time of day....
