Man, I come up here from Austin, to Nashville for the first time ever, and Jerry Jeff Walker dies in Austin the day I get here. I was at the Country Music Hall of Fame yesterday, and was super impressed with the section of the tour focusing on the 70's country scene in Austin. Jerry Jeff featured heavily in that exhibit. The whole CMHoF, though... Really well done. Man, I'm so bummed about JJW though. Willie is next...

So sad, just wake me up when 2020 ends, if it ever does.

The greatest of songwriters dying . . . has anyone checked in on Kris Kristofferson? Expert pilot by the way, some day I'll share stories of he and my uncle flying together surveying forests in the early-mid 60s.

Expert pilot by the way, some day I'll share stories of he and my uncle flying together surveying forests in the early-mid 60s. Kristofferson is still kicking, but it's getting to the point where all of these guys from the 60s and 70s have either already gone, or will be gone in the next ten years. I mean, look who went in the last 10 years. Tom Petty, Lou Reed, David Bowie, Levon Helm, and on and on... Willie Nelson, Neil Young, Keith Richards, etc. They will likely all be gone in the next 10...

Keef will be celebrating his 100th birthday in 23 short years from now (he was born on my son Christopher's birthday!). I'm getting a mutual friend to get me into that party.

As an EU citizen I don't know who he was but I like his music. So it's not nice to go too early - on the other hand it's a good thing not to know when time is up.
RIP JJW----

Yeah...there’s guys are all in their 70s to 80s. BJS was 81. Honestly, that’s pretty good considering they weren’t vegans. I mean - I don’t wanna go that soon, but time is nipping at all of our heels.

Comedians seem to live past 90 more often. Honestly until recently, I thought Jackie Mason and Shecky Greene had passed on already. But they're now 92 and 94 respectively. (and they both don't look a day over 90 either) Chris

You never know the first husband of my EX had to go with 35 on bladder cancer...
You can't plan anything...time can be up every day, and I am OK with this....
