Local boy gone huge. Pasadena CA. Six stringed innovator. Some would say guitar god. Certainly one of the best of my lifetime. I know he had been struggling with Cancer for years. Gone at the tender age of 65. Rip Eddie.

A Van Halen demo produced by Gene Simmons and recorded by Dave Wittman. Killer stuff. Kiss' management passed. Fools.
Some of this beats the versions later recorded.

I recall Diamond Dave's allegation in his book was that Gene was trying to poach Eddie for KISS, and that was why it didn't go any further. Who knows, glad the recordings survive.
