I think it’s just the nature of my voice.

Did this whole record with the k47 (H47) in the Heiserman. Thought he sounded great on it.

As much as I love a good M7, honestly I could live with either well done guys!

I would agree... A does have a harmonic character that jumps out when its stimulated but quickly dampens when the capsule is not being excited. The H7 seems smeared slightly which diffuses the performers expression. Did you mean the k47 in your last sentence? Btw - I’m just saying M7 and k47 - they’re both Heiserman caps...just so we don’t confuse what we are talking about. Yes correct.... I edited it. The HK47 not the M7 style seems stiff or tight and fights tracking your voice somewhat....

Both sound nice soloed. But it is in the mix where I choose "A." Capsule "B" is fighting in the same frequency area with the piano. "A" is just right!
Great singing too.

Maybe clarity isn't the best word, but it seemed a bit muffled in general to me.

I hardly ever use Lo cutwhen tracking vocals, but tried the H7 out with it and it at 80Hz cut and it actually tamed the bottom really nicely...actually, the perception is more like you hear more mids.

I prefer Head A..... sounds more finished.
Head B seems to lack body

I thought the "B" k47 head basket was a great fit for his voice on this too. Nice mix

Damn...listen to how it's handling the sibilance. Awesome.

Johnkenn what tweaks were actually made to your mic here? I really like how that turned out. I have an H47tube on order and had been considering switching to the HM7 capsule, but I really like how this sounds with your HK47 "tweak". I wonder if this is something anyone can have done to their mic.
