Same plugin. New GUI. Added a Mix and HF detector knobs. I never used a hardware, so can't comment on that, but these seem like welcome updates. It's still a small GUI for my declining eyesight.

Even UA wouldn't charge for a GUI overhaul... I think.

Wish they would add those features in all their plugs.

Even UA wouldn't charge for a GUI overhaul... I think. I think they are rich (relatively speaking) with that Apollo $$. Throwing out plugs for free....that's a first. For us guys in the game since UAD-1 and 3 Apollo2 deep at 2.5k a pop, (plus $500 for thunderbolt add-on cards)...not to mention paying full price for plugins they give away now for free....its all becoming worth it But hey, I cant have nothing for love for Universal Audio. Famliy owned business making music better for a long time now.

Good luck topping the Waves CLA series. I use those every day. Realistic. Noisier than hardware. LOL

Good luck topping the Waves CLA series. I use those every day. Realistic. Noisier than hardware. LOL Yeah I’ve always ended up choosing the CLA-3A over the ua for a sundry of reasons. But I could see this one taking its place on Acoustics now that there’s a HPF.
