I guess it’s for doctors and lawyers. Nah for a mic that’s hedge fund guy money, or Elon Musk bought them for podcasting!

The product page for it would still be up if that were the case...VK still has product pages for things that were discontinued or sold out almost a decade ago. The product page for the Limited Edition unit now redirects to the standard Telefunken USA mic, and the VK blog entries for the Limited Edition now produce a 404 Not Found error. Like I mentioned before, I'll bet Neumann wasn't happy to see their service replacement parts being used to build new mics for competitors.

I concur. That XLR is crooked as hell. For $10k!? Been thinking about this. Maybe it was canted on purpose...you know, to give a more "vintage" look. They are after all, the king of vintage.

First canted, then recanted. Chris

Maybe this will start some wheels turning over at Neumann.

Yes, the wheels of the Neumann legal team.

Yes, the wheels of the Neumann legal team. I’ll bet it did and that’s why VK pulled all the info. While everybody pushes the rules of the dealer agreements they have signed from time to time, I would not be surprised at all if the Neumann agreement is null and void if you sell a non Neumann product with a Genuine Neumann component. Let’s see what do you think VK makes more money on Telefunken? Or Neumann and possibly Senn.? Easy choice!
