Redco all the way for custom. I generally do Mogami, but their house brand is excellent too. They do high quality, very good work. Never had a problem with any cable I've bought from them. And I've been dealing with them for close to 20 years now. If you absolutely refuse to DIY, this is the best solution. I would not trust Amazon for this, although I do order a lot of stuff from them. I've also got burned a few times.
Redco is reliable quality.
The only thing I refuse to DIY is D Subs. I have Redco do them, then I cut em in half and put whatever other connectors on them that I need.

I'm going to buy new cables to connect my outboard gear to my interface. Anyone know a good, reasonable resource for custom cables? I want something decent (mogami? neutrik?) that will save $$ over retail. Need a total of 10 - 3' cables: five 1/4" TRS to XLRM, and five 1/4" TRS to XLRF. I know the cheapest is to do it myself, but I'm not equipped nor experienced to do the soldering. It's a GREAT project to gain that experience on. It's really not that hard. Get an iron and some 63/37 solder.Get a 40 watt iron. C'mon, buddy - you can do it!
You'll also need a solder sponge to clean the tip and some paste flux. This is a really basic skill and a perfect project to learn it on.
Thank you for the encouragement, John! My day job takes a lot of hours each week, so I have to pick what I'm going to do during the time that I have. Apart from the normal responsibilities as well as the priorities of the wife, I'd rather spend the remaining time now recording rather than learning to solder. Perhaps in retirement. ;-)

Sounds like a dentist who doesn't want to brush his teeth.
If all else fails, teach your wife to do it..
