There’s a lot of young adults/teens who dream of being YouTube/tic tok/IG personalities. The kids are so addicted, and it happens so fast. They watch a couple vids spoon fed by algorithm and bam- no cartoon, movie, nothing compares to that endless short video fix. Withdrawals, tears, screaming, bad habits.. it’s craziness. Then you get the ads secretly mixed into the message, it’s a serious force right now. And they show off the excess, 20 year olds pranking around in super cars while playing Minecraft and Fortnite. Yeah, it's true, and it's scary. I had to remove YouTube Kids from Søren's iPad. Just so many little kids playing with their insane yardful of toys that were given to them for free by toy companies. Way better for those companies than buying ads! Søren seriously would've sat and watched that garbage for two hours if I ever would've let him. I can only imagine how that translates to 20-somethings with rockstar-appearance ambitions. The internet is the downfall of civilization (says some random guy on the internet).

www.businessinsider.com/8-year-old-youtube-star-ryan-toysreview-made-22-million-2019-10^ For those who may not have little kids.. my son is 7 and I’ve had to delete YouTube off my devices since 2015. Maybe his dad can review this console for us? He probably won’t though, AMS probably can’t afford to make him do it anymore. Ryan has never EVER ever EVER given a negative review of anything! No matter how terrible it might be for kids. I highly doubt it’s “free” stuff they get.

Yeah, I started out by blocking Ryan’s Toy Review, then Emma’s Pretend Play, and then I just deleted the YT Kids app b/c too much was getting through. It’s truly unreal.

The vicarious thing is what baffles me. My kid would rather watch someone play a video games than do just about anything else himself. I don’t get it.

I mostly turd polish careless cheap studio or self recordings aka mixing in 2020. At least I force them to send me the real multi tracks without whatever crappy, aliased or cramped plugins they use.
