I'm a big fan of Booty's work. In particular the Virtual Broadcast Limiter is my go to grungey distortion/compressor wonderbox. I suggested it on his FB and a few months later, boom!
It's nice to be able to manipulate multiple shelf Q's, rolloffs etc. I think. It makes it far more flexible, and some of the curves do what an engineer would do anyway - tighten the Q on notches, broadening the Q for increased gain.
The HPF is a little bit of a dummy in comparison, which is disappointing because a good lo-cut can be hard to find. Still, I used it last night to do a rough 'master' of a track I'm submitting in a week or 2 and it sounded great. Russian high shelf was particularly tasty to my ears!
