Had some time to kill and because the Lindell 80 and the ACME as well as the SSL by brainworx has been a big surprise - sonic wise.
I thought I give this thing a shot. High praise by Pensado etc.
Having a mix with acoustic guitars in it, I expected to hear some nice harmonics.
It always sounds harsh and brittle to my ears....
The idea that the Output gain belongs a lot to the saturation knobs (Pentode / Tridoe)??
If the plug in is seen as an advert for the real deal, well I won't demo the hardware ...
Am I doing something wrong or does it sound like this...

I just recent bought the plugin. It has a different feel to me from the Decapitator I usually use, but I've enjoyed it. A couple times I've had to exaggerate it a bit and then lower the mix knob, but that's often what I do in Decapitator too.
The hardware sounds more impressive to me here, but I don't plan to be OTB anytime soon.

The output is just the output. The gain comes from the Pentode and Triode knobs. The hardware is just fantastic, I can’t think of mixing without it.
