Herman Miller Mira - same design as the Aeon, but without the fabric-ripping mesh. I've had it for 14 years now and won't look back. Was $500 then, now $349. buy once, cry once.

Kind of a different topic, but important I think! I have been spoiled and been sitting in a Herman Miller Aeon chair at work for years. I love it and never ever have back issues or feel uncomfortable even sitting in them for 12 hours. Now that I am at home, I've been in my....well I have no idea what but old ass office chair. I usually spend 4 hours a day or up so at time in it and never really had problems. But now that I've had to spend 10+ hours a day in, OUCH. My back is killing me. So while I'll likely just get my own Aeon(despite the horrific price tag) was curious. What do you sit in all day? A horrible old-ass office chair like yours, but with one arm removed for playing guitar.
My butt hurts. Maybe one of those funny blue honeycomb pillows they show sometimes on TV might help...? You know, the ones that can prevent an egg from breaking?
How did I know you were going to post something like this!

Actully pretty much all my chairs are street put-outs from the financial district in SF. I can't remember when I actually purchased a chair.
Let's see - buy a chair? Buy a microphone? Buy another 10 or 20 sets of guitar strings? Which one loses out?

but seriously, I have an aeron in the studio and I've replaced the seat frame twice. thankfully it was given to me years ago so every few years when the plastic frame breaks it only costs me 100$ or so to fix.
I bought a big/tall chair from amazon for work since they tend to have much thicker padding and then ended up buying that same chair for my home computer desk.

Some chair from Office Depot or Office Max whatever that store is called.
I had a low back chair at first but that was a horrible idea. This newer chair has a nice tall back, mesh surface.
Not expensive, has lasted several years and still trucking (..chairing?)
