Very impressive. I wish the US would even acknowledge that we exist and maybe sometimes, maybe pass legislation that would favor artistic integrity over corporate greed. Nah, what was I thinking...... never mind.

Nah, what was I thinking...... never mind. Never! The Republicans and Democrats will lower the streaming payouts, reduce the rights fees, allow labels to renegotiate contracts without consulting us, corporatize more venues like the radio, and add a plastic bottle deposit to the price of CDs and LPs because they're bad for the environment.

Thats amazing. Yeh I don't know why we cant do it.
People will look back 500 years from now and think we were such idiots.
Instead we have Banks around every corner that sit empty, and artists throwing in the towel because it just isn't an option anymore.

Yupp what my government is doing for the art industry is impressive, But they can't do it forever. The smaller places like mine got 5k direct on their account without questions asked....idea is to help with losses, and it helps. In my state bigger business got state loans at 0% intrest. Some of you think this is socialism but it's solidarity....it's a difference....

In the US, small businesses were supposed to get up to $10,000 (no questions asked), that was forgivable if the money was spent on rent/utilities/payroll/etc. This 10k would keep me in business, while shuttered for months. Instead, this money ran out immediately with a bunch of large corporations getting 10M at a time. I haven't seen a dime from my government. I applied for assistance months ago and yet, not a penny. I've been running my business as usual (illegally) through the entire crises because I still need to make rent or I lose everything I've worked for. I wish the US government cared for anything beyond greed.

No funds here either. Turned down with no request for more info, yet all data on dismissal about me is glowing. I suspect I didn't want ENOUGH money.

Man, NC is so gerrymandered, it's crazy difficult to throw anybody out of office.
