I totally forgot to make a thread while I was building this, but I did take pics during the process. It's just a lovely sounding amp, and it makes you want to sit down and play for no reason at all. Knowing I built this and put a lot of love and time into twisting wires, learning about grounding schemes, understanding how voltages work, and then to turn it on, go run and hide in fear of something exploding was all an amazing and fun process.

This little sucker is like a mini Marshall Plexi when you crank it, then you back off and you get these sparkly beautiful tones..... I get why Tom Bukavoc uses this amp now, and why his tones are absolute killer. I did find that it's pretty sensitive to what kind of speaker it feeds. It likes the vintage C12n Jensen's, and anything really similar. I was fortunate enough to find an original '65 C12n that had been freshly reconed at a local dealer for $99 bux. Also, if you'll search around and grab your own speaker, you can fully build this kit for about $670. I've played with a few of the reissues, and they really don't compare at all. When I took it in to my buddy at my local shop, when he first played through it all he said was "fuck". Just a great circuit, and the cab is just as nice. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a pretty versatile little combo, and who wants to try their hand at building an amp.
