Hi everyone,
A friend of mine forwarded me to this forum and said that most likely you guys here are able to give me a good advice regarding the subject.
I currently own Dynaudio BM5A MKII , but they are +10 years old and I feel it's time for new ones.
So what is important for me is the clarity as I want to hear mistakes easy aswell as having a good tight low without having the need for a sub and no muddiness. I want to be able to listen and produce without having a fast ear fatigue. I prefer to have things sound natural.
My studio room is acoustic treated through testing with a mic and the speakers stand on Isoacoustics.
Budget is about €2000 to €2500 for a pair.
I did some research and came up with the following (by reviews):
APS Klasik - Very good speakers for the price range, lacking low.
APS AEON - Same as above but having a far better low, but missing the clarity of the Klasiks
APS AEON 2 - Like the Klasik but with a really good low and way over budget.
Dynaudio LYD 48 - mixed reviews. Says to have a good low but mids are muddy?
Focal shape twin - Mixed reviews
Focal Solo6 BE - SuperB speakers but lacking low
Focal Twin - Really good, but missing low and over budget
Focal Trio6 - Rated high, really nice low but again over budget
Eve SC307 - Mostly positive, but big speakers
Eve SC3070 - Compact model, but over budget and no reviews yet.
I'm leaning towards the APS Aeon first model and also find the eve SC307 interesting. I'd hear the Focal Solo6 and they really sound good, but I did not had a good listen to the low frequencies.
Looking forward to read some advice on this subject. I want to narrow down the speakers in my range and test them out.
Cheers!
