So before deciding on the m149, the other mic that looks really intriguing is the Chandler Redd.
Any idea for vocals how these compare and differ?
The goal is still modern processed vocals that can take lots of compression and EQ but still have some warmth and body to them.

I'm a huge fan of the 'Neumann Sound' but the Chandler Redd BLOWS the M149 away, IMHO.

Why are you already "planning" to use "lots of compression and EQ" let alone in mics you've not used? Either way, the REDD.
