It was an easy decision since I know the designer. Fair enuff, but respectfully I question your objectivity ! Well the designer is a bit shifty, but overall a marginally ok person. Marginally.

Grace m905 Black here. It was between that and the Crane Song Avocet II for me, and the grace won out. Really made a big difference mixing. I can hear much better now....

Burl BDA4M, BDA4, BAD4M and BAD4 cards in the Mothership. So many great sonic options with these cards!

I’d say so!

But wait...I was told the Dangerous sounds too good...so there must be some clock issues with it. 🙄

Is the Dangerous considered mastering grade? I think mastering gear is Chris Muth's backgound, isn't it?

Using Lynx Hilo here for mastering. Have also used Svart’s converter in the past as well.

Is the Dangerous considered mastering grade? I’m going to go by the standard of the old days, if somebody uses it for mastering and their work doesn’t sucks it’s mastering grade. Just because somebody decided their gear can be used for mastering doesn’t mean it should be used for mastering i.e. coming soon the Behringer Composer Mastering addition, we put it in a pretty colored case, changed to detented pots that will never match channels and quadrupled the price. So it’s now a piece all mastering engineers must buy because it says so.

I see the Grace has digital out as well as in. I'm assuming with the in, one could clock an interface off the Grace as well? Correct. Or just use the World Clock output. Word typically needs to be upconverted to a higher frequency to be useful for Delta-sigma converter ICs. This multiplication also multiplies the jitter. Digital like spdif has encoded clock in the MHz range and typically is divided down, also dividing jitter. I'd always use the digital stream as clock source if necessary to have an external clock of any type.
