What does everyone recommend for a sudden pitch drop down an octave like a whammy pedal?
Plugin. Preferably
Also I do not ever connect my Mac Pro towers to the internet so
Something I can buy please and preferably NOT iLok.
Little Alter Boy is ouf cos I hav to connect the studio computer to the net plus have to use that iLok crap.
What about WhamDrive? Others?

Could you automate it with the pitch shifting algo in your DAW? Can sound like a whammy pedal at least in cubase.

I would have thought so as well, but I can't find a way to make it work in Pro Tools 10 (which I am sticking with for the time being) Hmm, so none of the Avid pitch or time plugins allow auto? I have not tried, admittedly. I got curious and searched the DUC, which did offer a real time work around: you could play the pitch effect manually while printing to a new track. I use Pitch a decent amount but I tend to audiosuite it, which doesn't have that performative aspect you're looking for. Apparently there's an effect called "bender" in PodFarm. I find their effects to be pretty good, but I have the free version so... my loyalty came cheap. |
