Looks like there's a "buy now" option on their website, but can't tell for sure.
Warning: RANT:
When is the fucking pre-order business model going to die in this industry? Mammoth Cave? Lost over a grand. Other banner advertiser? Nine month wait, outputs putting out different levels, three months to NRG in Cali for repair and $350 later had a working unit.
Wise up, peoples. Please learn from those of us who have been burned.
End RANT

We do have a "Buy it now" on all our products and we have just added the deposit option for our microphones.
I am sorry to hear you have had bad experiences with other companies but I can assure you that's not us. All our customers are important to us and we work for 100% customer satisfaction. So far we have never had one complaint on our transformers, microphones or equipment. Our policy is if a customer is unhappy with something we resolve that problem.

I can vouch for FAB as I did in the past. I ordered transformers from them, it was delivered quickly, and they followed up to make sure everything was good when I received them.

Or the one right after they dropped the battery? (Yes, I understand that this one has no battery.)

The one that had the battery. That part of the circuit is gone allowing us to install a larger custom transformer

NOW you've got my attention! (well along with the capsule) I'm "set for now" (famous last words) microphone-wise. But will "spread the word" with my friends... Chris

I have an Ai that was made a few years before the Sennheiser takeover. I'd be curious to hear the difference.

What are the "battery" U87's going for nowadays, in excellent condition... As a comparison? My guess is $2.5K (or more). Chris P.S. Just saw your post John E. Especially when I visiting the "epicenter" this weekend. AKA the NAMM Show!

Especially when I visiting the "epicenter" this weekend. AKA the NAMM Show! I would guess somewhat more. How much, I'm not exactly sure, but my general impression is that prices are rising a bit. I do know that I definitely would not take less than that for my pre-Sennheiser Ai and the battery compartment ones go for more than that.
Hope you're having fun at NAMM. Wish I could go!
