New Acustica Audio plugin Celestial is FREE
Infuse your tracks with mojo.
Celestial is a two-plugin suite for sound manglers who want to add some creative texturizing and psychoacoustic action to their tracks.
Based on a modern hardware machine built in the UK and used by both mixing and mastering engineers, Celestial provides an additional layer of analog goodness to single tracks as well as full mixes. Experiment with the 'Texture' or the 'Dimension' controls to see what we mean. What are you waiting for?
Celestial is free until February 14, 2019.
Get it now through Aquarius before we change our crazy minds.
It's seems to be an SSL Fusion emulation
ENJOY !

Last time I downloaded a free Acustica plugin it would randomly pop so loud that I thought I was going to damage my monitors.

Looks like a SSL Fusion plug in...very interesting. I had the hardware for a while so I'll report back after I get a chance to play around with this one.

It is indeed the SSL Fusion.
I have the hardware unit and this plugin is very, very close. Powerful on the Mix Bus...

Yes but will it crash my PT like all the other acoustica plugs do? They seem to have made some significant progress this last year. I also used to get random crashes but haven't experienced any in the last 8-9 months using Logic or PT..... ever since they updated Purple (Pultec). That plugin used to crash on every session.

I'm totally new to Acustica. Frankly their marketing and naming always confused me in the past, so I never bothered. I don't hang with reading through to learn the differences of Ivory over Cream. Plus...the CPU moaning from users on every thread about them.
But since this looks very much like the SSL Fusion, I'm curious to hear it. If anyone knows what the plugin versions with "ZL" at the end of the name means, I'd love to know. That's not in a manual that I find.
Looking through their products PDF it seems the fine print says Celestial will become part of a bundle in their BIG CEIL product, once the promotional period is finished. I learned there is a 'lite' version called CEIL that was last year's Christmas promotion. Not sure why the Focusrite ISA Channelstrip and the Fusion are being grouped together, but if you own the paid version of the one, you'll be getting this.

One advantage the plug in seems to have over the hardware is noise. When I had the hardware, I had to turn the drive and density up higher than I really wanted because they were so noisy on lower settings.

Just installed and gonna check out
I've never used any Acustica plugins before. If I buy something during the Christmas sale, whats the 1 plug you'd recommend most? I hear good things about the El Rey...

I've been doing gear tests all day so I just took this 40 second clip from some scratch shit I was working on and did a comparison of the hardware vs plugin vs dry MixBus. I spent a good deal of time matching the plugin settings to the hardware - as close as I could get them. 3 clips in a single audio file = DRY first, then thru Acustica Celestion, lastly thru SSL FUSION. I gain matched each section as closely by ear as I could before saving as a single clip. You can see the gaps in the audio file if you want to skip around and you can refer to the filename for the order. BTW you can live-click in the file while it's playing to compare- in case you didn't know

Cool! That song really boogies.
I think the real SSL sounds a little "taller" or something but it's fairly subtle. It probably does sound better than the plugin on my headphones. The plugin sounds slightly veiled in comparison.

I hear good things about the El Rey... I've been using the El Rey on vocals and dig it. I also have Pink and Purple and am happy with both. Pink had replaced my Waves API bundle and I think Purple is a really nice Pultec plug.

The plugin sounds slightly veiled in comparison. Yea Monkey, I agree with you..... just a hair off.... but really close. I think using it at 96k may even close that gap, but then of course I'd need a couple of IBM Big Blues in here instead of my paltry 10core Imac pro Lol. Seems like the center is a bit more solid. I'm impressed with it though and might use it on subgroups in the DAW.
