Not sure exactly where to post this, but I don't want to muck up any of the other forums so I'll put it here.
Have really appreciated all of the great discussion, comments, reviews, and feedback here on RGO, posted by incredibly talented and generous people. It's helped me learn, focus, downsize (reduce analysis paralysis), and yes...spend more money! While I'm not sure I've yet landed on the absolute best microphone for my vocals, the equipment I now own means I no longer have excuses for not forging ahead with recording. If I was able to cobble together a decent album with an SPC1, small Mackie board, M-Audio Delta 10/10, and Cool Edit Pro, I should be able to crank out something better with an ADK Z-251, MA5/Tubule, Audioscape Opto Comp, Audioscape Buss Comp, Reaper, and some great plugins. Now that I own top-notch equipment, it's time to learn how to really use it. I'll be taking a sabbatical from my daily (sometimes hourly) visits to RGO, and will spend my time trying to complete some long overdue projects. My next post(s) should be in the "What Are You Working On?" forum.
I'm looking forward to the 2.5 hour drive to Shellrock, Iowa in early 2020, as Wade (Chandler) has been gracious enough to allow me to go demo his vintage and current mics. While that should help solidify what mic flavor I need, the forced gap is motivating me to get to recording now.
So, thanks to everyone here for taking the time to share your knowledge, experience, and encouragement. Hope to have something for you to hear and comment on in the near future. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to each of you.
Todd

Very cool. If you need an extra set of ears as you progress with your project there are plenty of us here who would be glad to take a listen. All the best!
