Heritage Audio is proud to announce the all new HA-609A, a modern, improved take on the classic tracking/mixing diode bridge compressor. As with the other products in their Elite Series, the HA-609A takes advantage of the latest in manufacturing technology to offer an unprecedented value without compromising audio quality — all built at the Heritage factory in Spain. The HA-609A is a modern take on the classic transformer coupled diode bridge compressor/limiter design, with several improvements brought in to accommodate the modern workflow. While some classic iterations of this design utilized some IC chips and a class A/B amplifier stage; the HA-609A features an entirely discrete, class A design and a total of three Carnhill/St Ives transformers per channel. The addition of a fast attack mode for both the compressor and limiter section allow the HA-609A the flexibility to handle individual tracks as well as groups and 2-bus program material. Thanks to a proprietary system of diode bridge matching, the HA-609A has better channel matching than any earlier incarnations; while the use of rotary switches and high quality, stepped pots allow for easy recall and maintain a perfect stereo image. Price is $1799 and AVAILABLE NOW! Attachments:

Looks cool. I love the diode bridge/33609/2254 family of sounds. Could see myself getting one of these at some point.

Really a beautiful piece of kit. Would be interested in a side-by-side comparison to the Audioscape D-comp. I will end up with either one at some point in time.

I don't understand what they mean when they say they are adding a fast attack mode. The current Neve 33609 has fast attack as well. How's that a new feature?

Doubtful. I pre-ordered one in January that was supposed to ship in May. There are 0 in the wild so far. Probably not even on the radar.

I don't understand what they mean when they say they are adding a fast attack mode. The current Neve 33609 has fast attack as well. How's that a new feature? The original Neve only had a fast attack option in the limiter section but yeah that is confusing because the current AMS version has it in both.

So is this just a dual mono version of the Successor? I think so. Basically the Successor with 33609 controls.

I think either this new Heritage 609 or the Audioscape D-Comp will be the next compressor I purchase.
