But you just can't quite get there?
I'm so close to getting mixes to the next level but I just can't seem to break through and it's murdering me.

But you just can't quite get there? I'm so close to getting mixes to the next level but I just can't seem to break through and it's murdering me. All the time my friend. I’m in a similar situation. Over the last 1 1/2 years I’ve spent a considerable amount of time with some focused “practicing”, or training if you prefer, and feel like I’m just on the cusp of really upping my game. Problem is that as my ears get better, my mixes get better, but so does my ability to perceive all the bad things in my mixes too. Over all my mixes are somewhat better, I certainly get to that place faster than I used to, but I’m still left dissatisfied because I hear more of the flaws at the same time. Hang in there...if it was easy everyone would do it...oh wait...everyone does already  |
