Literally seeing a documentary on this issue because it kills toddlers. Now the parents are blaming big brands like Ikea for the death of their children.
If its not delivered with the closet just go to your local hardware store buy everything you need and mount the closet on the wall.
It's not hard to do and is not expensive at all.
I'm getting too old for a world where nobody wants to take responsibility for his actions anymore....

ericn Blank stare from my EU perspective. Four families get 50 Million Dollars without even going on court.
If one of my kids had died because I was idiotic, naive or just too lazy I would not blame IKEA for it, nor would I invite Netflix to show the world my biggest fault....

A number of years ago when this all first came about a friend had an apartment where he couldn’t screw into the wal, his wife was scared the kids were going to get hurt, so we bolted a bunch of weights to the bottom of a couple of dressers! The biggest problem is we just don’t build stuff like we used to !

I have never received a Ikea piece of furniture that did not include a way to mount it to the wall.

I have never received a Ikea piece of furniture that did not include a way to mount it to the wall. Almost all furniture has some way of doing that since they've been going on about the risk of furniture tipping for as long as I've been alive. The difference is the litigious world we live in now vs. 40 years ago.

I have never received a Ikea piece of furniture that did not include a way to mount it to the wall. Yeah that little drywall anchor makes me feel so safe. They are load rated for a static load and no where have I ever found anything stating what angles that rating is for. This what happens when you spend to much time hanging out with riggers.

I go for a 10:1 on anything that I rig. Building needs to fall down or fail!
