Pretty sweet console idea. It's another 500 serise modular console like several out there. However this one seems much cooler with some great bus features like 4 mono Aux sends plus 5 stereo buses all of which have their own insert and 2 500 modules you can use. 4 stereo returns and you can flip between Mic/Line inputs and DAW inputs and direct outputs on every channel and group(easy stem rendering). It's easily expandable and they are working with Wes Audio apparently on fader automation. I think it looks sweet: looptrotter.com/modular-console/Base 8ch starts at $11,000ish, comes with two of there 500 modules too. Each 8 pack is $4800 additional. Check out the "manual" on the site for signal flow diagrams.

Seems like we’ve come full circle ...
“Console is too big” ... lets try rack channel strips “Rack channel strips are too expensive plus I only want the pre” ... what about this 500 module?
... what if we made a console out of all these 500 series modules???
:-D
Its a great idea though .... buy a frame, build up your channels as budget allows and pick variations of tones.

Only 11k for 8 empty channels?
At that rate I'd need about a million dollars worth. Wow.

The grow your own is a great idea. Are there upgradable psu or do they power is section like one per 8 modules ? I think each section has it's own PSU. So each till you add on you get new power. Only 11k for 8 empty channels? At that rate I'd need about a million dollars worth. Wow. Yeah but it's 16 500 slots. I mean sure that doesn't seem that good up front but that's because over half that is for the master section. Which you can buy alone as a stand alone summing mixer too. It's really 4800 for 8 channels. And of course if the routine and summing aren't worth it to you then it's not worth it. But a 24ch console built from this would be very fun to mix through. You could also just have mic pres separate and swap them in and out as needed if you were recording through it one day and mixing another.

Been looking at this for a little while. It’s a cool concept.

Bumping this to ask if anyone here has gone this route and what they think of it.
There seems to be very little discussion of actual use online. 🤷
