What about it/him is crazy. He take things to the enth degree as far as his pcbs. Is that a bad thing?

Not a bad thing. He's definitely thorough, which is good. However, he doesn't seem to take cost into consideration at all in the builds. Those PCBs should be about 1/3rd the price he charges.. I know, because I design PCBs too.

Well, i better do not comment that in detail. I had to look twice if this is really PCB only prices.....
