Izotope Ozone 8 Elements is Free for a few days to celebrate the upcoming release of Ozone 9.
Based on past experience, even if you don't plan to use it, adding it to your account can sometimes get you cheaper upgrade options later for Ozone Standard or advanced.

Thanks Mike. I think I already had it but downloaded and installed anyway ;-) I've yet to take the time to see just what Elements does anyway, ha!

I think the Elements stuff might have got me a better price on the killer Exponential Audio reverb bundle, but I'm not sure.
I really like RX Elements and Nectar elements. Less useful to me are the Ozone and Neutron.

I've seen confirmation from a Izotope email now that if you don't already have any of their products but register at izotope's web site and download their last Free day today of Ozone elements 8, it will get you a better upgrade price when Ozone 9 comes out that appears to be as soon possibly as tomorrow.
Their email said " Ozone 9 is almost here—access special launch pricing by downloading Ozone Elements (v8) now. "

I downloaded the demo version last year, then the free elements from last year. The full version is pretty awesome and DEEP! But after trying stuff, the only thing I really wanted/still want is the limiter. I thought the post-tools like de-verb are amazing though.
Does anyone know... can the limiter work like a VST plugin in any DAW? Or do I have to bring mixdowns into Ozone to access the limiter? Thanks!

I think the "Advanced" plugins do split out into individual plugin modules. But you'll have to verify that with someone who really knows.
I've heard people say the Imager (which is free) is one of the best stereo widener plugins available.

Ozone Elements does a nice job if you are a band/artist who is home recording and want to master a quick demo. It cleans things up for sending out a demo before a real mastering engineer does their thing. If you are wanting to do something more professional, you probably want the full advanced package.
Izotope advanced package are the only way to get the components used as separate plugins.
Ozone works well, but there are worthwhile competitors. It will hinge upon you're personal preferences.
RX7 has been very useful for cleaning up poorly recorded audio tracks sent to me from other bands. You really need at least standard to get the best features of that. So if you get the free Ozone elements, it might actually help you get a decent upgrade price for this.

Yeah, the Advanced version has some great stuff like the incredible Tonal Balance Control. Seems like a simple idea, but is unbelievably useful if you master your own tracks and you know, what you are doing. The advanced version is unbelievably flexible IMHO. The Elements version is totally usable and great for demo mastering, home studios etc.. Even the stripped down limiter options work great for many genres of music. For free, it is a no-brainer. And monkeyx is totally right: I LOVE the free imager module / plugin. I always was fascinated by what makes an imager sound good and what not, since I fell in love with the imager function in SPL's old Vitalizers after I upgraded opamps in this circuit. Sounded lovely at this time. The Ozone Imager opens up a wide field of possibilities, I find it very easy to get great results, no matter if you use it for small changes to the stereo field or experimental sounds, stunning quality for a free plugin. I have not seen any plugin that rivals it yet. It is possibly the best one in digital land.

Tonal Balance Control is wonderful. I got some GREAT results with that thing on a "big rock track." I am going to have to buy Ozone or Neutron if I want it, I don't think they sell it separately.

Yes the advanced version plugins do split out into individual plugins if you want,
and I'd agree on the positive comments on the Imager, I haven't heard them all, but haven't heard a better one,... a little goes a long way.
Ozone 9 is now out btw.
