It's re-VERB of course. Short for re-VERB-erator or re-VERB-eration. REE-verb is a common mispronunciation, in the same way many people say VEE-hick-el or NUKE-you-ler. but then these Texans: 13th Floor Elevators - REEEverberation
I've heard REE-verberator too. REverb. Literally "Speaking again". Emphasizing that first syllable puts the focus on the "Again" part and that's the whole point of reverb, innit?

Wait what’s wrong with saying vee-icle? How else is vehicle pronounced? Vayickle?! vee-icle is correct. There was a mispronunciation (VEE hick ull), probably starting with Chuck Yeager (great pilot but not an English major). A whole generation of pilots wanted to show they had the "right stuff". They couldn't climb into an X1, so the best they could do was mispronounce things the same way.

Granted, but not much else is so perfectly right but wrong as “vehicular traffic”(heavy on the hic) : always loved that expression !

I bet most people got their pronouncement of 'reverb' from Fender amps. Now, if you got it from Ampeg amps, you might say it the other way.

I thought that reverb was a medicinal herb found only between 1500 and approximately 2100 meters in the northern facing French Alp region. It is used as a poultice to treat insect stings and snake bites.
