Has anyone seen the new "Songland" TV show? It's a welcome break from all the singing competition shows. I'm actually a little surprised the general public is that interested in a behind the scenes look at the songwriting/production process.
The premise of the show is four songwriters are brought forward to pitch their song to an established artist. Three of them are chosen to develop their song with a producer. Then the artist chooses one song that they will record and put on their album. The first episode was John Legend and the second was Will.I.Am.
They do show a little bit of the behind the scenes process in the studio. Kind of interesting.
